Bo Nix Eyes No. 1 Seed as Broncos Chase Home-Field Advantage.

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix understands what’s at stake heading into the final week of the regular season. With a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Denver would secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. Earning the top spot would give the Broncos home-field advantage throughout the postseason, meaning two wins at Empower Field at Mile High would send them to the Super Bowl. Denver enters the matchup favored, as the Chargers are expected to rest starting quarterback Justin Herbert. While Nix did not comment directly on Los Angeles’ lineup decisions, he emphasized how important it is for Denver to finish the job and lock in the conference’s top seed. According to Nix, the Broncos are focused on taking advantage of the opportunity they’ve created. He noted that the team has positioned itself well all season and now faces one final challenge to reach its goal.

A win would push Denver to a 14–3 record in what has been a breakthrough season. The Broncos have been dominant at home, suffering just one loss at Empower Field. Nix hopes the road to the Super Bowl in Santa Clara runs through Denver.

Nix highlighted the value of playing at home, pointing out that home-field advantage exists for a reason. He also praised the Broncos’ fans, saying the atmosphere has improved as the season has progressed and the games have carried more significance. The quarterback added that the energy inside the stadium during the last several home games has been especially memorable. Though Nix has yet to play a postseason game in Denver, he expressed excitement at the possibility.

No matter Sunday’s outcome, the Broncos are guaranteed at least one home playoff game. Ideally, Nix said, Denver will host both the divisional round and the AFC Championship Game.
