DENVER — The Denver Broncos delivered a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback Sunday, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 28-24 in an important AFC West showdown. Denver entered the fourth quarter trailing 24-13 but responded with 15 unanswered points to take the lead. The Broncos' defense then delivered the defining moment of the game when defensive lineman Malcolm Roach brought down Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes on fourth-and-goal, ending a potential scoring opportunity. Mahomes completed 30 of 41 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns, but Kansas City could not overcome Denver's late defensive stand. Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III finished with 69 rushing yards on 21 carries, while Emari Johnson contributed five receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown. Denver improved to 6-2, while Kansas City fell to 5-2. The victory gave the Broncos a significant boost in the AFC West standings and continued their success in close games.
