The Denver Broncos have officially signed fourth-round draft pick Kage Casey to his rookie contract, continuing the team’s offseason focus on strengthening the trenches ahead of the 2026 season. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Casey agreed to a four-year rookie deal with Denver. Mike Klis later reported that the contract is worth approximately $5.58 million and includes a signing bonus of $1,198,208. The Broncos later confirmed the signing officially. Denver selected Casey with the 111th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career at Boise State Broncos football. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound lineman primarily played tackle in college, but the Broncos announced him as a guard following the draft and are expected to use him primarily on the interior offensive line.

Casey enters the league with a reputation as a dependable and technically sound blocker capable of providing versatility across the offensive front. He is expected to compete for a reserve role immediately while also offering depth at both guard and tackle positions. Denver values his ability to potentially slide inside to center if needed, making him another flexible piece along the offensive line. NFL Draft analyst Dane Brugler ranked Casey as the No. 10 guard in the 2026 draft class and praised his toughness, football intelligence, and assignment discipline. Brugler described Casey as a blocker who wins with technique, hand usage, and awareness rather than overwhelming athleticism or raw power. Despite some limitations in lower-body flexibility and explosiveness, Casey consistently keeps defenders engaged and shows enough athletic ability to hold up in pass protection. Scouts believe his best long-term fit could come at guard, where his physical style and recognition skills can translate effectively at the NFL level.

The addition of Casey continues Denver’s clear emphasis on building depth in the trenches during this year’s draft. The Broncos used two of their first three selections on offensive and defensive linemen as the organization continues investing heavily in the foundation of the roster. Casey is also viewed as a possible long-term insurance option along the interior offensive line. Veteran guard Ben Powers is scheduled to become a free agent after the season, and Denver could eventually look toward younger in-house options such as Casey and Alex Palczewski to fill future starting roles. For now, Casey projects as a versatile backup capable of contributing at multiple spots while developing into a potential starter down the road.
