Buzelis Scores Career-High 41 Points as Bulls Defeat Warriors in Overtime.

SAN FRANCISCO — Matas Buzelis recorded a career-high 41 points and nailed a crucial 3-pointer with 2:20 remaining in overtime, leading the Chicago Bulls to a 130-124 victory over an undermanned Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Josh Giddey contributed a triple-double with 21 points, 17 assists, and 13 rebounds, while Tre Jones added 22 points, helping Chicago bounce back after a 126-110 loss at Sacramento on Sunday. For the Warriors, Kristaps Porzingis posted 17 points with four blocks, and Pat Spencer added 17 points and six assists. Gui Santos scored 17 points, including a go-ahead layup with 4:11 left in regulation. LJ Cryer also tallied 17 points, but Golden State missed the opportunity to give coach Steve Kerr his 600th career win. Porzingis, recently acquired from Atlanta in a trade for Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga, played only his second home game with the Warriors. He made a three-point play in the third quarter to pull the Warriors within two points, followed by a 3-pointer after Cryer’s basket gave Golden State the lead.

The Warriors were without several key players, including Stephen Curry, who missed his 15th consecutive game due to a lingering right knee injury, Seth Curry (sciatica), De’Anthony Melton (sore left inner thigh), Moses Moody (sprained right wrist), and Quinten Post (foot soreness). The loss marked Golden State’s third consecutive defeat and their third straight loss at Chase Center, falling five of their last six games. Looking ahead, the Bulls will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night to continue their five-game West Coast road trip. The Warriors are set to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
