Exodus Johnson was once a standout high school football player at the prestigious Cherry Creek High School, a program renowned for its competitive athletics and academic excellence. However, his journey to the collegiate ranks was anything but straightforward. After spending his first two years at the nearby Arapahoe High School, Exodus made the decision to transfer to Cherry Creek for his junior and senior seasons, seeking a new challenge and opportunity to showcase his talents on an even bigger stage. It was during his time at Cherry Creek that Exodus truly blossomed, emerging as a dominant force on the court and earning the attention of college recruiters across the country. His combination of raw athleticism, polished skill, and unrelenting work ethic made him a highly coveted prospect, and ultimately led him to commit to Hays University, a Division I Football powerhouse.  

Yet even after securing his spot on the Hays roster, Exodus now finds himself in a familiar position – redshirting his first year, taking a step back to focus on his development and prepare for the rigors of competing at the collegiate level. It's a humbling experience, to be sure, but one that Exodus embraces wholeheartedly, driven by an unwavering determination to make the most of this opportunity and cement his legacy as one of the game's rising stars. 

When asked what got him into football: 

“My God brother begged me to play football with him 12 years ago. When I was 9 years old, I played in my first big game and I got the game winning sack to send us to the playoffs-then I went on to win my first championship playing for the eagles. Then the following year I moved to the Littleton thunder I made history by winning a state championship in 2022, then going back, the next year in 2023, I also had 111 tackles and I won all conferences.” 

Through it all, his God brother's initial encouragement had set him on a path to sports glory, proving that sometimes the smallest gestures can have the biggest impacts. Learning new playbooks has been a significant challenge for him, but once he masters them, he believes he becomes one of the most formidable defensive assets on the team. The constant need to adapt to new strategic frameworks and memorize complex schemes can be mentally taxing, requiring intense focus and dedication to fully absorb all the nuances. However, he has found that once the initial hurdle of learning a new playbook is cleared, his innate defensive instincts and keen field vision allow him to execute the schemes with a level of precision and effectiveness that make him a truly dominant force. His ability to rapidly process information, anticipate offensive maneuvers, and react with lightning-quick reflexes gives him a distinct advantage over opponents. Teammates and coaches alike have marveled at his uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time, making game-changing plays that turn the tide of a contest. The athlete revealed that his primary goal and lifelong dream has always been to reach this level, to make it to the professional ranks. He can scarcely believe that he has achieved what was once an ambitious aspiration, and he is overjoyed at the prospect of showcasing his skills on an even bigger stage. In just 5 short years, this ambitious individual sees himself achieving a major milestone - getting drafted. This has been a lifelong dream, the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and honing his skills on the field. But the drive and determination doesn't stop there. His second key goal is to obtain a business degree, as he has his sights set on a future in the world of real estate. Real estate holds a particular fascination for him, the idea of building a portfolio of properties and investments, of being his own boss in this dynamic industry. But his aspirations don't end there - he also harbors hopes of one day launching his own clothing line. The thrill of creating a brand, of designing apparel that resonates with consumers, is a tantalizing prospect.  When asked is there anything you wish more people would understand about: 

“I wish more people knew that I go through challenges everyday just like a lot of people and that I love taking criticism and learning from my mistakes but I really value my relationships with people and I look to help people become better because I know what it’s like to not have a lot of support from others. I also want people to know I’m a man of God and I feel it’s important to thank him every day for good and bad times because everything is building you to be stronger in my opinion”

“I want readers to know that I know a lot of people have positive opinions about me and my fan base and negative opinions but at the end of the day none of that matters all that matters is who’s really putting in the work not who’s sitting looking for an opinion for a person that’s working hard”
