The Gonzaga Bulldogs secured a 79–68 victory over the Santa Clara Broncos on Tuesday night in Las Vegas to capture the West Coast Conference (WCC) Tournament championship. The win marked a meaningful moment for Gonzaga, as it was the program’s final appearance in the conference tournament before moving to the Pac-12 Conference next season. Guard Mario Saint-Supéry led Gonzaga with 21 points, while Tyon Grant-Foster added 20. Forward Graham Ike contributed 15 points and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Ike also had a perfect shooting performance, making all seven of his attempts from the field. Gonzaga’s balanced scoring effort helped the team shoot 52.8% overall, with four players finishing in double figures. The victory continues Gonzaga’s dominance in the West Coast Conference under longtime head coach Mark Few. Since taking over the program in 1999, Few has built Gonzaga into one of the conference’s most successful teams. The Bulldogs’ latest title marks their sixth WCC tournament championship in the past seven seasons and their twelfth in the last fourteen years.

Despite the loss, Santa Clara remained competitive throughout the game. The Broncos briefly held a 52–50 lead midway through the second half before Gonzaga responded with a seven-point scoring run that put them ahead for good. Christian Hammond led Santa Clara with 24 points, while Allen Graves added 11. Santa Clara guard Sash Gavalyugov, who scored 23 points in the semifinal victory over Saint Mary's Gaels, struggled in the championship game. He finished with eight points while shooting 3 of 13 from the field and 2 of 9 from three-point range. With the win, Gonzaga improved to 30–3 and secured the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. While the Bulldogs now await their tournament seeding, their focus remains on advancing deep into the national championship tournament. According to Few, the program’s long-term goal continues to be competing for national titles while maintaining the consistent success that has defined Gonzaga’s run in the WCC. Meanwhile, Santa Clara finished the season 26–8 and will wait to see if it receives an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. With both Santa Clara and Saint Mary’s ranking highly in national metrics such as NET and KenPom, the WCC is expected to send multiple teams to the tournament field. As Gonzaga prepares for a new chapter in the Pac-12 Conference next season, the Bulldogs leave the WCC on a high note—adding another championship to their long list of conference accomplishments.
