PORTLAND, Ore. — The Charlotte Hornets rallied from a 19-point deficit to secure a 103-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. Brandon Miller led the Hornets with 21 points and eight rebounds, while LaMelo Ball scored 12 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to help Charlotte complete the comeback. Kon Knueppel contributed 15 points and five rebounds, and Ryan Kalkbrenner added 13 points and six boards off the bench, helping the Hornets return to a .500 record at 33-33. Charlotte trailed 43-24 in the second quarter but managed to take the lead late, holding Portland to just 19 points in the fourth quarter.
For Portland, Jerami Grant scored 24 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Deni Avdija added 22 points, Scoot Henderson contributed 14 off the bench, and both Toumani Camara and Donovan Clingan scored 11 points. The Trail Blazers held the advantage for most of the first half and led by nine at halftime before a shooting slump and late-game mistakes allowed Charlotte to come back.
