Mike Trout Powers Angels Past Yankees in Series Finale Split.

The Los Angeles Angels secured an 11–4 victory over the New York Yankees on Thursday, thanks largely to another standout performance from Mike Trout. The win allowed the Angels to split their four-game series in New York. Trout continued his dominant stretch, hitting his fifth home run of the series. He finished the four games going 6-for-16 with five homers and nine RBIs. His latest home run came in the seventh inning, when he drove a slider into the left-field bleachers to extend the Angels’ lead to 7–4. With this performance, Trout homered in five consecutive games at Yankee Stadium and joined Jimmie Foxx, Darrell Evans, and George Bell as the only players to hit five home runs in a single series against the Yankees.

Despite home runs from Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, the Yankees were unable to keep pace. Historically, New York has been highly successful when both players homer in the same game, making this loss unusual. Judge’s homer marked his 89th career first-inning home run, while Stanton added a two-run shot in the fourth inning. The Angels regained control of the game with a four-run sixth inning. Oswald Peraza, a former Yankee, contributed with both a double and a two-run home run. Additional offensive support came from Vaughn Grissom and Josh Lowe, who drove in key runs to widen the lead. In the eighth inning, Jo Adell sealed the game with a grand slam.

On the pitching side, the Angels used a combination of arms, with Sam Aldegheri earning the win. Meanwhile, Yankees starter Max Fried struggled, allowing five runs over 5 1/3 innings. Yankees manager Aaron Boone was also ejected during the game. Looking ahead, the Angels will send José Soriano to the mound as they begin a series against the San Diego Padres. The Yankees will face the Kansas City Royals, with Cam Schlittler scheduled to start.
