National Western Stock Show Sets Opening Weekend Attendance Record

DENVER CO – The National Western Stock Show launched its 120th anniversary celebration in historic fashion, shattering its opening weekend attendance record in Denver. According to a release from the National Western Stock Show (NWSS), a total of 118,919 fans attended the first two days of the 16-day event on Saturday and Sunday, marking the highest opening weekend attendance in the show’s history. Although the Stock Show is not consecutive due to the cancellation of the 2021 event during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2026 officially represents the organization’s 120th year of existence. A major draw for attendees was the debut of two brand-new facilities on the grounds: the 30-acre Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center and The Legacy, the Stock Show’s new world headquarters. The expanded campus created a buzz throughout the weekend as visitors explored the modernized complex while enjoying traditional Western events. Crowds packed the grounds on Sunday, with the new buildings gleaming behind ongoing festivities.
