No. 3 UConn continued its dominant run through Big East competition with a decisive 92–60 win over Xavier on Tuesday night in Hartford, Connecticut. The victory extended the Huskies’ winning streak to 18 games and kept them perfect in conference play. Silas Demary Jr. led UConn with 17 points, while Tarris Reed Jr. contributed 14. Braylon Mullins scored all 13 of his points in the first half, helping the Huskies jump out to an early lead. Eric Reibe added 14 points, and Jayden Ross chipped in 11 as UConn improved to 22–1 overall and 12–0 in the Big East. The Huskies set the tone early, with Mullins scoring 10 of UConn’s first 12 points as the team surged to a 16–2 advantage. UConn shot an efficient 61 percent from the field in the first half and carried a commanding 50–22 lead into halftime. The 28-point margin marked the team’s largest halftime lead in conference play this season. UConn’s current winning streak is the third-longest in program history and the longest since the 1998–99 season. Additionally, the team’s 12–0 start in Big East play is its strongest since the 1995–96 squad opened conference action with 14 straight victories.

Xavier, now 12–11 overall and 4–8 in the Big East, was led by All Wright with 14 points. Roddie Anderson III and Malik Messina-Moore each scored 10 points. Tre Carroll, the conference’s leading scorer, was limited to nine points after averaging more than 26 points per game over his previous five contests. The Musketeers briefly showed momentum during a 9–0 run sparked by Anthony Robinson, Isaiah Walker, and Anderson, but the deficit remained significant. UConn maintained control throughout the second half to secure its second consecutive conference win by more than 20 points. Xavier will look to rebound when it travels to face No. 22 St. John’s on Monday, while UConn is set to play at St. John’s on Friday night.
