NEW YORK — Jalen Duren led the way with 26 points, while Cade Cunningham added 21 points and 15 assists, as the Detroit Pistons snapped a season-worst four-game losing streak with a 138-100 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night. Duren was highly efficient, making 9 of 10 shots, and Cunningham was 8 of 10 from the field, including 4 of 5 from three-point range. Duncan Robinson contributed 15 points, and Marcus Sasser finished with 14 for the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons, who never trailed in the contest. For the Nets, Michael Porter Jr. scored 19 points, and Jalen Wilson added 14, ending their two-game winning streak. Detroit’s earlier skid included a surprising loss to Brooklyn on Saturday, in a game the Pistons led by 23 points midway through the third quarter. That victory had snapped the Nets’ 10-game losing streak. Cunningham, who did not play in the previous matchup, and Duren combined for 21 first-quarter points as Detroit shot 57 percent overall and 45 percent from beyond the arc, building a 38-27 lead. The Pistons then outscored Brooklyn 35-13 in the second quarter to take a commanding 73-40 halftime advantage.
Detroit finished the game shooting 56 percent from the field and 50 percent (16 of 32) from three-point range.
