Pitt Linebacker Rasheem Biles to Enter Transfer Portal.

Pitt junior linebacker Rasheem Biles has announced via social media that he plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, which opens later this week. Biles, a two-time All-ACC selection, will have one year of college football eligibility remaining for the 2026 season.

Biles capped his junior season with a standout performance in Pitt’s 23-17 loss to East Carolina in the Military Bowl, recording 16 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, and a scoop-and-score touchdown. Over the 2025 season, despite missing three games, Biles totaled 101 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and three touchdowns, earning second-team All-ACC honors. His junior season followed a breakout sophomore year in which he posted 82 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and six sacks as a first-year starter. Originally a three-star recruit from Columbus, Ohio, Biles chose Pitt over West Virginia, his only other Power Five offer. Despite entering college with modest expectations, he quickly made an impact, blocking multiple kicks as a freshman before becoming a defensive mainstay in his second season. Biles’ decision adds to a series of departures from Pitt’s linebacker group this offseason. Junior Kyle Louis opted out prior to the bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft, and linebackers coach Ryan Manalac has accepted a position as defensive coordinator at the University of Connecticut. With Braylan Lovelace returning as the starting middle linebacker, Pitt will need to fill at least two starting linebacker positions for 2026.

This marks the second high-profile transfer for Pitt this offseason, following wide receiver Kenny Johnson’s announcement earlier in the week. Since the end of the regular season, ten Panthers have entered the transfer portal, including two starters.
