TCU Women Extend Home Winning Streak to 39 with Dominant 90-45 Victory Over Houston.


FORT WORTH, Texas — Olivia Miles tallied 25 points, while Marta Suarez contributed 24 points and 10 rebounds as No. 14 TCU overwhelmed Houston 90-45 on Wednesday, marking the Horned Frogs’ 39th consecutive home victory. The Horned Frogs (21-3, 9-2 Big 12) were tied with Texas for the nation’s longest active home winning streak entering the game. Their undefeated streak at home began on February 24, 2024, with a 59-49 win over Houston, which also marked TCU’s first of 32 double-digit home wins. Suarez made three of TCU’s seven 3-pointers, and Miles recorded six of the team’s 19 assists. Donovyn Hunter added 15 points, helping TCU shoot 58 percent (34-of-59) from the field. Early in the second quarter, Suarez’s driving layup gave TCU a double-digit lead, and the Horned Frogs led 44-25 at halftime. TCU extended the margin to 30 points late in the third quarter and outscored Houston 24-7 in the fourth.


For Houston (7-15, 1-10), Kierra Merchant led with 12 points on 6-of-13 shooting, and Amirah Abdur-Rahim made the team’s only two 3-pointers. The Cougars were outrebounded 46-22 and have lost 10 of their last 11 games.
