Terry’s Late Power-Play Goal Lifts Anaheim Past Predators 5–4, Setting Up Ducks–Oilers.

In a tightly contested regular-season finale in Nashville, the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Nashville Predators 5–4 after Troy Terry scored a late power-play goal with 2:54 remaining. The win secured Anaheim the third seed in the Pacific Division and set up a first-round playoff matchup against the Edmonton Oilers, following Edmonton’s win over Vancouver.

Anaheim opened the scoring early when Cutter Gauthier netted his 41st goal of the season just 96 seconds into the game. Nashville responded with Steven Stamkos tying it midway through the first period before Filip Forsberg added a power-play goal to give the Predators a brief lead. Jackson LaCombe evened the score late in the first period. The teams continued trading goals in the second period, with Alex Killorn putting Anaheim ahead, followed by Forsberg and Stamkos regaining the lead for Nashville. In the third period, Tristan Luneau tied the game after converting a rebound off a Mikael Granlund shot. Terry ultimately delivered the decisive goal late in regulation on the power play. Despite Nashville’s strong offensive showing—highlighted by two-goal performances from both Stamkos and Forsberg—the Ducks secured the win. Anaheim also finished the season series 2–1 against Nashville, though they entered the postseason having struggled in their final ten games.
