UCF Rolls Past Bethune-Cookman 73-6 Behind Explosive Offensive Performance.

ORLANDO, Fla. — UCF turned its matchup with Bethune-Cookman into a one-sided affair, scoring early and often on the way to a 73-6 victory. The Knights controlled the game from the opening quarter, building a 21-0 lead before Bethune-Cookman finally found the scoreboard. UCF added 17 more points in the second quarter to take a 38-6 lead into halftime and never let the Wildcats back into the game. UCF's offense finished the afternoon with 560 total yards, including 360 rushing yards and 200 passing yards. The Knights averaged 9.5 yards per rushing attempt and found the end zone seven times on the ground.

Duke Watson provided one of the game's biggest plays, carrying the ball seven times for 110 yards and a touchdown. His 64-yard run highlighted an explosive rushing attack that consistently created big plays. Agyeman Addae added 74 yards and a touchdown on only four carries, while Landen Chambers scored twice and finished with 56 rushing yards. Taevion Swint and Rocco Merritt also recorded rushing touchdowns as UCF repeatedly broke through the Bethune-Cookman defense. The Knights were productive through the air as well. Alonza Barnett III completed 11 of 18 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown, while Keyone Jenkins completed all four of his attempts for 42 yards and another touchdown.

Jonathan Bibi was UCF's leading receiver, catching three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Josh Derry recorded three receptions for 45 yards, while Caden Fleming finished with two catches for 30 yards.

While the offense received most of the attention, UCF's defense also played a major role in the blowout. The Knights recorded three sacks and nine tackles for loss, keeping Bethune-Cookman from establishing any sustained offensive rhythm. Bethune-Cookman managed only 181 total yards. The Wildcats threw for 74 yards and rushed for 107 yards on 40 attempts. Isaiah Daniel led the Wildcats on the ground with 65 yards on 10 carries. Tyler Jefferson completed four of 10 passes for 55 yards. UCF continued to add points after halftime, scoring 28 more points in the second half while keeping Bethune-Cookman out of the end zone. By the final whistle, the Knights had produced a dominant performance on both sides of the ball. The 73-point effort, combined with 560 total yards and seven rushing touchdowns, gave UCF a decisive victory and plenty of momentum moving forward.
