Alabama A&M defeated Florida A&M 63–50 in a physical Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup, using efficient shooting and disciplined defense to control the game from start to finish. The Bulldogs shot 43 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range, while holding the Rattlers to just 29 percent shooting overall. Kalia Walker led all scorers with 19 points for Alabama A&M, knocking down 5-of-11 shots from the field and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Walker also went a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line, providing a steady offensive presence throughout the game. Rakiyah Beal added nine points and three assists, while Coriah Beck contributed 10 points, four assists, and two steals. Alabama A&M controlled the paint and the glass, outrebounding Florida A&M 36–35 and recording seven steals and six blocked shots. Moses Davenport anchored the defense with nine rebounds and four blocks, helping limit second-chance opportunities for the Rattlers. Florida A&M struggled offensively despite getting to the free-throw line 29 times. Shaniyah McCarthy led the Rattlers with 13 points but shot just 3-of-13 from the field. Tahnyjia Purifoy added 10 points and two rebounds, while Breazia Robinson chipped in nine points and six rebounds off efficient shooting.
As a team, Florida A&M shot 21 percent from three-point range and committed 21 turnovers, which Alabama A&M converted into key scoring opportunities. The Bulldogs also received valuable bench contributions, particularly from Aniya Palmer, who scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in 19 minutes. Alabama A&M’s depth and defensive pressure proved decisive as the team maintained control in the second half.
