In a game that turned from a defensive struggle into a thrilling fourth-quarter comeback, the Seattle Seahawks held on to defeat the Arizona Cardinals 23-20 on Thursday Night Football. The NFC West showdown at State Farm Stadium had major implications for the divisional race, and it delivered on the high-stakes drama.The Seahawks’ victory was powered by a stout defensive performance for most of the game, which sacked Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray six times and stifled the Arizona offense. However, a late-game surge by the Cardinals, led by Murray and rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., nearly erased a two-touchdown deficit and sent the game into overtime. The Seahawks' defense continued to dominate, with linebacker Ernest Jones IV intercepting a pass intended for Harrison Jr. that was bobbled into his hands. He connected with Harrison Jr. on a spectacular catch over top Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon for a touchdown, cutting the lead to 20-13.

      On the ensuing possession, the Seahawks looked to put the game away.


A big 36-yard pass from Darnold to Jaxon Smith-Njigba gave them a chance to score, but Myers pushed a 53-yard field goal attempt to the right, giving the Cardinals new life. Seizing the opportunity, Murray marched his team down the field, finding running back Emari Demercado for a seven-yard touchdown to tie the game with less than a minute remaining.With the game on the line, Darnold and Smith-Njigba came up with another clutch play, a 22-yard connection that set up the game-winning field goal. This time, Myers stepped up and delivered, nailing the 52-yarder as time expired to secure the 23-20 victory for the Seahawks. The win improved Seattle’s record to 3-1, while the Cardinals fell to 2-2.
