Bangot Dak’s Double-Double Leads Colorado Past Washington for Acrisure Holiday Classic Title

Bangot Dak recorded 15 points and 11 rebounds, leading Colorado to an 81-68 victory over Washington in the championship game of the Acrisure Holiday Classic on Friday. Four Buffaloes teammates reached double digits in scoring, highlighting a balanced offensive performance. Isaiah Johnson added 13 points, Alon Michaeli scored 12, while Sebastian Rancik and Felix Kossaras contributed 11 points each for Colorado (7-0). Barrington Hargress finished with eight assists. Quimari Peterson led Washington (5-2) with 18 points, and Desmond Claude added 14. Colorado maintained control throughout the first half, holding a 47-30 lead at halftime. Washington started the second half strong, scoring the first seven points, and later went on a 15-1 run to tie the game at 52 with about 11½ minutes remaining. However, the Huskies never regained the lead.


Kossaras hit two 3-pointers that helped the Buffaloes pull ahead 62-55, followed by a 6-0 run that pushed the lead to 72-61. Washington struggled in the final minutes, going 4-for-13 from the field and attempting only two free throws in the last eight minutes.

Colorado had jumped to an early 7-0 lead and maintained a double-digit advantage for much of the first half, outshooting Washington 55% to 28%. Rancik’s layup made it 20-9 with 12½ minutes left in the half, solidifying the Buffaloes’ control.
