The Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was not an option for the Denver Broncos in the NFL Draft since Bo Nix is already playing as their quarterback.

Nonetheless, this does not imply that Sean Payton, the head coach of the Broncos, was not fully conscious of Sanders' true level of talent. When Payton was questioned about Sanders falling in the draft, he didn't hold back. "I believe everyone is taken aback, and the skill level is astonishing,

" Payton remarked to the media. ". . . It seemed like I spent my childhood observing him play. " He will have a chip on his shoulder, so be cautious; this player is set to compete in this league. It's difficult for any of us to clarify what others are seeking. I find it quite surprising.

Sanders was generally regarded as the top candidate. Behind Cam Ward, he was the second quarterback prospect leading up to the draft, but several quarterbacks were picked before him. Eventually, he was chosen by the Browns in the fifth round this past Saturday.

Surprisingly, the Browns selected Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the third round and then moved up the next day to acquire Sanders. Cleveland may not have planned to select Sanders before the draft, but when they noticed how low the Colorado Buffaloes player had dropped on Day 3, they chose to seize the chance. This past season, Sanders topped the country in completion percentage and achieved 37 touchdown passes. We will find out if he will have the opportunity to begin for the Browns in 2025.
