Bryce Young Throws Two Touchdowns as Panthers Defeat Injury-Plagued Eagles 25-14.

PHILADELPHIA — Bryce Young delivered a strong performance Sunday, throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns as the Carolina Panthers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 25-14. Running back Chuba Hubbard added 120 rushing yards and a touchdown to help Carolina improve to 3-2 on the season. The Panthers took advantage of a Philadelphia team missing several key offensive players, including starting quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley. Hurts remains on injured reserve because of a blood clot in his calf, while Barkley missed his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury. Young established a connection with tight end Tommy Tremble, finding him for a 12-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Carolina carried a 10-7 advantage into halftime before extending its lead in the second half. One of the game's most important possessions came late in the third quarter when Young completed a 32-yard pass to Jalen Coker on third-and-8 deep in Carolina territory. The Panthers continued moving downfield, including a 19-yard fourth-down run by Hubbard that kept the drive alive. Hubbard eventually finished the possession with a 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, giving Carolina a 19-7 lead after an unsuccessful two-point conversion attempt. Philadelphia attempted to respond behind backup quarterback Tanner McKee, who completed 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown. McKee connected with DeVonta Smith for a 19-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter, cutting Carolina's advantage to 19-14. However, the Eagles failed to capitalize on their next possession after forcing a Carolina punt. McKee lost 12 yards on a fumble, ending Philadelphia's opportunity to take the lead. Young responded by connecting with Tremble for a 19-yard touchdown, extending the Panthers' lead to 25-14 and securing the victory.
Carolina also received contributions from kicker Ryan Fitzgerald, who converted field goals from 47 and 52 yards. Fitzgerald extended his streak to 11 consecutive successful field-goal attempts to begin the season, although he missed an extra-point attempt. Philadelphia's offensive struggles continued throughout the afternoon. The Eagles managed just 37 total yards in the opening quarter and punted on their first five possessions. Their offense was also held scoreless in the third quarter, continuing a season-long trend of limited production after halftime. The loss dropped Philadelphia to 2-4 as injuries continued to affect the team's offensive consistency. The Eagles also lost defensive players Nolan Smith and Jordan Davis to injuries during the game. For Carolina, the victory marked another encouraging performance from Young and the Panthers' offense. Young's efficiency through the air, combined with Hubbard's production on the ground, helped Carolina control the second half and protect its lead.
Up next, the Panthers return home to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Sunday, while the Eagles prepare to host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, October 26.
