Buccaneers Shut Out Falcons 16-0 in Rain-Soaked Divisional Matchup.

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers relied on their running game and defense Sunday to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 in difficult weather conditions. Heavy rain created challenging conditions for both offenses, with Tampa Bay securing the victory despite failing to complete a pass. Running back Bucky Irving carried the Buccaneers' offense, rushing for 170 yards and a touchdown on 27 attempts. Tampa Bay scored six points in the first quarter, three in the second and seven in the third while keeping Atlanta off the scoreboard. Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. struggled against the Buccaneers' defense, completing eight of 24 passes for 125 yards and four interceptions. Atlanta receiver Jahan Dotson finished with two receptions for 95 yards, but the Falcons could not capitalize on their limited offensive opportunities. Tampa Bay improved to 3-5 with the shutout victory, while Atlanta fell to 3-5.
