Aurora, CO – July 1, 2025
The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) is entering a new era—visually and symbolically. For the first time in more than three decades, CHSAA has unveiled a new logo and branding guide, marking a significant visual shift for the organization that governs high school athletics and activities across Colorado. The rebrand will officially take effect starting with the 2025-26 school year. The updated identity, created by renowned design firm Rickabaugh Graphics, blends modern design with deep respect for Colorado’s culture and CHSAA’s history. The centerpiece: a shield-shaped logo that symbolizes strength, unity, and tradition. It features three stars arched above the Colorado Rockies—representing excellence in academics, athletics, and activities—and a font that mirrors the one used on the Colorado state flag. In a nod to its roots, CHSAA has retained its signature blue, while adding gold to highlight success and prestige.
“The last time we refreshed our brand was in the 1980s,” said Commissioner Mike Krueger. “As we looked to the future, we wanted a brand that not only reflects who we are today, but also where we’re headed. We’re proud of how this new logo captures the spirit of CHSAA, our schools, and the entire Colorado high school community.”
Notably, the “HS” in CHSAA now stands out in a different color—subtly emphasizing the association’s focus on high school students. Over the coming year, CHSAA will roll out a series of logo variations for championships and special events. The comprehensive brand guide provides instructions on logo usage, color specifications, font treatments, and more, ensuring a consistent visual identity across all platforms. This is more than a design change,” Krueger added. “It’s a statement about who we are, the excellence we strive for, and the pride we take in representing Colorado’s student-athletes.
As the new look makes its way onto fields, courts, tracks, and arenas across the state, CHSAA hopes the visual shift also inspires a renewed sense of purpose for its member schools, students, and communities.
