Tory Horton, the team captain and wide receiver for Colorado State in the Mountain West, had an impressive 2023 season, averaging 94.7 receiving yards per game. Many national outlets are predicting an even more successful season for him in 2024. College Football News announced their preseason All-America selections on Wednesday morning, with Horton being recognized as a second-team offense member.
Horton topped the Mountain West in receptions per game last season with eight, earning him a spot on the all-conference first team. With the ongoing development of CSU quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, it is anticipated that the Rams will rely on Horton for increased production. College Football News recognized Boise State's Ashton Jeanty and James Ferguson-Reynolds on the first team, while Old Dominion linebacker Jason Henderson made it to the second team.
Horton, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 185 pounds, is expected to be selected early on the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft by NFLDraftBuzz.com. Colorado State's season commences on August 31st in Texas.
