FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Drake Maye threw three touchdown passes as the New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets 26-19 on Sunday, extending their winning streak to three games. Maye completed 18 of 32 passes for 235 yards, connecting with Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas and Hunter Henry for touchdowns. Douglas led New England with seven receptions for 86 yards. The Patriots (4-2) built a 17-3 halftime lead before the Jets fought back in the second half. Geno Smith connected with rookie Omar Cooper Jr. for a 42-yard touchdown, helping New York close the gap. New England's defense delivered a crucial fourth-quarter stop when Charles Woods intercepted Smith, ending the quarterback's interception-free start to the season. Smith finished with 252 passing yards and one touchdown, while Cooper recorded six receptions for 103 yards. Despite losing three offensive linemen to injuries, the Patriots secured their fourth consecutive victory over the Jets. New England will visit the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, while the Jets (2-4) return home to face the Miami Dolphins next Sunday.
