LSU football head coach Lane Kiffin took to social media Friday to celebrate the Tigers’ latest major addition from the transfer portal: offensive lineman Jordan Seaton. Shortly after reports confirmed Seaton’s commitment to LSU, Kiffin posted multiple messages highlighting the significance of the signing. “Tried to tell you it’s #JustDifferent now!! Time to grind them,” Kiffin wrote, signaling confidence in the program’s new direction. Seaton enters Baton Rouge as the top-ranked offensive lineman in the transfer portal and one of the most coveted players available this offseason. Kiffin followed up his initial post by reminding fans of earlier predictions about LSU’s transfer class. “Said SpotTheBall on 1/2/26 it would be the best ever in history,” Kiffin wrote. “Hope you enjoyed the grand finale.”

Since arriving at LSU, Kiffin has prioritized building an experienced player personnel department and aggressively targeting elite transfers. That strategy has paid off, resulting in three five-star portal commitments and the nation’s top-ranked transfer class.

Along with Seaton, LSU secured five-star quarterback Sam Leavitt and edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen, both of whom address immediate roster needs. Kiffin’s staff also focused on rebuilding the offensive line and wide receiver groups, which suffered significant losses to the transfer portal during the offseason.
