Luka Dončić will not suit up for Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, as he continues to recover from a left hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for over a month. Dončić has been officially listed as out on the NBA injury report, dealing with a Grade 2 hamstring strain suffered on April 8. His absence comes at a critical moment for the Lakers, who trail the Thunder 3–0 in the series and are now fighting to extend their postseason run. The injury has already forced Dončić to miss significant time in what was expected to be a pivotal playoff push. According to earlier reports, he has been working through an extensive rehab process that includes platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Dončić confirmed he traveled to Spain shortly after the injury for treatment, where he received multiple PRP injections as part of his recovery plan.
“I’m just doing everything I can,” Dončić said recently. “Every day I’m doing what I’m supposed to do. I’m recovering and getting better. The doctors initially said around eight weeks, so I’m taking it day by day.” The Lakers now face a steep challenge without one of their primary offensive engines. With Dončić sidelined, much of the responsibility has shifted to LeBron James and Austin Reaves as Los Angeles tries to avoid a sweep against the defending NBA champions. Dončić has yet to appear in a playoff game for the Lakers since the injury occurred, and no official timetable has been set for his return as the series continues to slip away.
