Dan Ficke, the head coach of the MSU Denver men's basketball team, has announced the recruitment of five transfer players for the 2024-25 season, in addition to two high school signings made in November. Among the new additions are three athletes hailing from the Denver area, bringing a combination of physicality, talent, and championship pedigree. Ficke is optimistic that these new recruits, together with the returning players, will form a robust and competitive roster in the RMAC and South Central Region.

Brayden Carter, a standout player from a neighboring state, has established himself as a force to be reckoned with on the court, amassing an impressive 879 career points and 406 rebounds over the course of 92 games. His consistent scoring ability and tenacious rebounding have made him a key contributor to his team's success. Meanwhile, Landon Braun, a local recruit, brings with him the valuable experience of leading his high school squad to the coveted Kansas 6A state championship, demonstrating his leadership qualities and winning pedigree. Joining these two talented players are Sufyan Elkannan, Jamil Safieddine, and Logan Threatt, a diverse group of new recruits who are poised to make their mark on the team.

Head coach Ficke has expressed a sense of optimism about the team's potential, citing the blend of skilled transfers and returning players as a recipe for success. As the new roster begins to gel and practice together, the upcoming season will serve as a critical test of their team chemistry and overall performance. The strategic focus on acquiring local talent and experienced transfers, such as Brayden Carter and Landon Braun, positions MSU Denver for a promising season ahead, with the integration of these skilled newcomers expected to impact the team's game strategies and overall success within the competitive RMAC conference. The combination of Brayden's scoring prowess, Landon's championship-winning experience, and the contributions of the other new recruits aims to elevate the program's profile and position it for a successful campaign in the regional and national landscape.
