Boston — Jamal Murray finished with 22 points and a season-high 17 assists, while Peyton Watson added 30 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 114–110 comeback victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, snapping Boston’s five-game winning streak.

Despite the absence of both teams’ top stars—Denver center Nikola Jokic and Boston forward Jayson Tatum—the game remained tightly contested throughout, featuring 26 lead changes and nine ties. Denver erased a three-point deficit midway through the fourth quarter by going on a decisive 14–0 run, turning the game into a 101–90 advantage.

Boston attempted a late rally, trimming the deficit to three points in the closing seconds, but the Nuggets maintained control to secure the win. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 33 points, while Neemias Queta collected a career-best 20 rebounds. Boston struggled at the free-throw line, converting just nine of 15 attempts, including an early stretch where they missed five of their first six. Denver had recently dropped six of its previous 10 games after opening the season 20–6, falling behind the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference standings. The Nuggets are now 3–2 since Jokic suffered a hyperextended left knee. Murray and Christian Braun returned to the starting lineup after sitting out Denver’s overtime loss to Philadelphia earlier in the week.

Peyton Watson scored nine of his points during Denver’s fourth-quarter surge, while Zeke Nnaji contributed eight during the same stretch. The Nuggets will host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, while the Celtics remain at home to face the Toronto Raptors.
