DENVER — Jamal Murray delivered a dominant performance Saturday night, scoring 42 points to power the Denver Nuggets to a 121–115 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Murray shot an efficient 15-for-24 from the field and took control late in the game. With the score tied at 110, he drained a three-pointer with just over two minutes remaining, giving Denver a lead it would not relinquish. He followed with a jumper and two free throws to seal the win. Tim Hardaway Jr. added a season-high 30 points for Denver, while Peyton Watson contributed 21. Despite playing without Nikola Jokić, who remains sidelined with a left knee bone bruise, the Nuggets extended their winning streak to four games and have now won six of their last seven. Washington was led by Kyshawn George, who finished with 29 points. Khris Middleton and Alex Sarr each scored 16, but the Wizards dropped their sixth consecutive game and remain winless on their four-game road trip. Denver shot 53 percent from the field and connected on 40 percent of its three-point attempts, making 14 shots from beyond the arc compared to Washington’s 11.

Murray had 23 points in the first half as Denver trailed 63–62 at halftime. The Wizards maintained their edge through the third quarter and entered the final period ahead 86–83. Murray’s 16-point fourth quarter proved decisive as the Nuggets pulled away in the closing minutes. Washington will return home to face the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, while Denver continues its homestand Sunday night against the Charlotte Hornets.
