Naz Hillmon’s Late Three-Pointer Secures Atlanta Dream Victory.

The Atlanta Dream defeated the Dallas Wings 88–85 on Wednesday night in Arlington, Texas, after Naz Hillmon hit a decisive three-pointer with only 2.6 seconds remaining in the game. Hillmon led Atlanta with 21 points and provided the final basket that sealed the win for the Dream. Several Atlanta players contributed to the victory. Allisha Gray finished with 15 points, while Brionna Jones added 14 points. Maya Caldwell recorded a season-high 13 points, and Te-Hina Paopao contributed 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. With the win, the Dream improved their record to 16–11 and have now won three of their last four games. The Dallas Wings were led by rookie Paige Bueckers, who also scored 21 points. Luisa Geiselsoder added 13 points, while Arike Ogunbowale and Haley Jones each scored 12. Despite their efforts, Dallas fell to 8–20 and has now lost seven of its last nine games.

The game remained competitive throughout the final quarter. Atlanta began the fourth period trailing by two points but quickly responded with a 12–2 run that gave them a 74–66 advantage with just over seven minutes remaining. Hillmon contributed two three-pointers during that stretch. Dallas later answered with an 8–0 run, highlighted by a three-point play from Bueckers, to keep the game close.


In the final minute, Paopao scored two consecutive layups to give Atlanta an 85–83 lead with 34.8 seconds remaining. Ogunbowale then tied the game with a jumper with 21.6 seconds left. On Atlanta’s final possession, Hillmon received the ball and made the go-ahead three-point shot, securing the Dream’s narrow victory. Earlier in the game, Atlanta entered halftime with a four-point lead. Gray led all scorers in the first half with 13 points, while Bueckers paced Dallas with 12. Although the Wings briefly gained momentum during the third quarter, Atlanta regained control late and ultimately secured the win with Hillmon’s clutch shot.
