NFL Draft Preparations: Final Pre-Draft Visit The New England Patriots welcomed Georgia running back Trevor Etienne for their final pre-draft visit. Previously a player at Florida, Etienne had an impressive 2024 season at Georgia, accumulating 609 rushing yards and scoring 9 touchdowns over 10 games. He is among several prospects under consideration by the team, which also includes offensive linemen Will Campbell and Armand Membou, edge rushers Barryn Sorrell and Shemar Stewart, as well as wide receivers like Kyle Williams from Washington State. Mock Draft Projections A recent seven-round mock draft indicates that the Patriots may choose LSU tackle Will Campbell in the first round to enhance their offensive line. Other anticipated selections include tight end Mason Taylor (LSU), wide receiver Jaylin Noel (Iowa State), and defensive tackle Joshua Farmer (Florida State). Coaching Changes Mike Vrabel's Return Following a season with Jerod Mayo, the Patriots are reportedly reinstating former linebacker Mike Vrabel as head coach.

His leadership and experience are expected to steer the team through its rebuilding efforts. Team Outlook Drake Maye's Development Rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who became the starter in Week 6 of the 2024 season, is demonstrating significant potential. His performances have garnered respect within the organization, suggesting a promising future for the team. Roster Adjustments The Patriots are actively pursuing roster enhancements, with several players poised to enter the free agency market in 2025. The team is concentrating on strategic acquisitions to fortify critical positions.
