The Green Bay Packers' latest annual financial report offers a rare look into the financial strength of the NFL, revealing that the league distributed approximately $14.5 billion in shared national revenue among its 32 franchises during the most recent fiscal year.
Because the Packers operate as a publicly owned corporation, they are required to release annual financial statements, making them the only NFL team that provides this level of transparency into league finances. According to the report, Green Bay received $453.2 million from the NFL's shared revenue pool, which includes national television contracts, sponsorship agreements, and other league-wide revenue sources. Multiplying that figure across all 32 teams places total shared revenue at roughly $14.5 billion.
The Packers also generated $299.8 million in local revenue through sources such as ticket sales, concessions, merchandise, and local sponsorships. Combined, the franchise reported $753 million in total revenue, an increase of $34 million from the previous fiscal year. The financial results continue to highlight the NFL's strong economic position, with national media rights and commercial partnerships fueling record-setting revenue across the league. While most NFL teams keep their financial details private, the Packers' unique ownership structure provides fans and analysts with one of the few public snapshots into the business side of professional football. The annual report was released ahead of the Packers' shareholder meeting, offering another reminder of the league's continued financial growth and the immense value of its national revenue-sharing model.
