No. 6 LSU Women’s Basketball Extends Winning Streak with 103-63 Victory over No. 24 Alabama.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Jada Richard scored 16 points as No. 6 LSU secured its seventh consecutive win with a 103-63 blowout against No. 24 Alabama on Sunday. The Tigers (21-2, 7-2 Southeastern Conference), who currently lead the nation in scoring margin, reached 100 points in a conference game for the first time this season and handed the Crimson Tide (19-4, 5-4) their largest loss of the year. ZaKiyah Johnson contributed a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, marking her second such performance of the season. Mikaylah Williams also scored 15 points, while MiLaysia Fulwiley added 10 for LSU. Alabama’s top scorer was Jessica Timmons with 15 points. The Tigers dominated each quarter, finishing the first, second, and third with 7-2, 10-4, and 11-1 runs, respectively. Richard recorded six points, three rebounds, and two assists in the opening quarter, later adding a 3-pointer and an assist in LSU’s closing surge. Williams scored nine of LSU’s last ten points in the final 2:07 of the second quarter, giving the Tigers a 20-point lead at halftime.


Alabama struggled to counter LSU’s depth, with Johnson and Amiya Joyner combining for 18 points and seven rebounds in the first half. The Tigers’ defense intensified in the third quarter, blocking six of Alabama’s 19 shot attempts, including the Crimson Tide’s final four attempts. Looking ahead, Alabama will host Ole Miss on Thursday, while LSU will travel to face Texas.
