Quickley’s 40-Point Night Lifts Raptors Past Warriors in Butler’s Absence.

SAN FRANCISCO — Immanuel Quickley delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night, scoring 40 points and handing out 10 assists as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors 145–127 at Chase Center. The game marked Golden State’s first outing since losing Jimmy Butler to a season-ending right knee injury. Quickley matched his career-high scoring total while shooting an efficient 11-of-13 from the field and converting all 11 of his free-throw attempts. Scottie Barnes added 26 points and 11 assists as Toronto recorded its highest point total of the season. The Raptors’ offensive explosion also resulted in the Warriors’ poorest defensive showing this year. Buddy Hield contributed a season-best 25 points for Golden State, knocking down all six of his three-point attempts. Stephen Curry finished with 16 points after missing his first five shots from beyond the arc, while Draymond Green posted six points, six rebounds, and five assists. Golden State briefly cut the deficit to nine points late in the fourth quarter following a Hield three-pointer, but Brandon Ingram quickly responded with a three of his own to halt the momentum. Ingram finished with 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists. With Butler sidelined, head coach Steve Kerr gave Jonathan Kuminga his first extended opportunity in 17 games. Kuminga responded with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and added five rebounds in 21 minutes. His recent trade request has drawn attention, though his future with the team remains uncertain ahead of the Feb. 5 deadline.

Toronto led 70–50 at halftime after Golden State shot just 39.6 percent from the field and 6-of-23 from three-point range. The Warriors also struggled with ball security, committing 18 turnovers that led to 34 Raptors points. The loss snapped Golden State’s four-game winning streak and concluded an eight-game homestand. Toronto will continue its road trip Wednesday night in Sacramento, while the Warriors travel to Dallas for a matchup Thursday.
