The Colorado Rockies may be at the bottom of the National League standings, but they showed plenty of fight on Sunday. Orlando Arcia hit a game-tying solo home run with two outs in the ninth inning, and Kyle Farmer delivered the go-ahead single in the eleventh to lift Colorado over the Milwaukee Brewers, 4–3, in an extra-inning thriller at American Family Field. Colorado (19–65) snapped a five-game losing streak and stunned a Brewers team (47–37) that had won four straight entering the contest. The Rockies scored in each of the final four innings after being held scoreless for 16 consecutive frames, showcasing a rare burst of timely offense and resilience. Milwaukee led 2–0 going into the eighth inning, thanks to solo home runs in the sixth by Sal Frelick and Christian Yelich, who recorded his 18th of the season. Brewers rookie Chad Patrick was dominant in his outing, striking out eight and allowing just four hits over five scoreless innings. However, the bullpen could not hold the lead. A key defensive error in the eighth opened the door for Colorado. Rockies third baseman Ryan McMahon reached base on a two-out throwing error by shortstop Joey Ortiz, and Brenton Doyle drove him in with a double to make it 2–1. Then, in the ninth, Arcia connected on just his second home run of the season, launching a pitch from Brewers closer Trevor Megill deep into the stands to tie the game. The game continued into extra innings, with both teams scoring once in the tenth. Doyle, who began the eleventh on second base as the automatic runner, scored the go-ahead run on Farmer’s single off Brewers reliever Grant Anderson (1–3). Victor Vodnik (3–2) earned the win for Colorado, while Tyler Kinley secured the save with a scoreless bottom of the eleventh, striking out two batters. The game featured some early fireworks as well, with Rockies outfielder Tyler Freeman and interim manager Warren Schaeffer both ejected in the third inning for arguing a close play at first base. Despite the controversy, Colorado stayed composed and pulled off one of its most dramatic wins of the year.

With the victory, Colorado improved to 11–37 on the road—an impressive stat considering their overall record. Milwaukee will look to regroup as they head to New York for a series against the Mets. Freddy Peralta (8–4, 2.90 ERA) will take the mound for the Brewers, facing Mets right-hander Clay Holmes (8–4, 2.97 ERA). The Rockies will return home to face the Houston Astros, who will send Colton Gordon (3–1, 3.98 ERA) to the mound. Colorado has not yet announced a starter.
