Saints head coach Dennis Allen has announced that veteran playmaker Taysom Hill is dealing with an injury ahead of the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The matchup, scheduled for Monday Night Football, could see the Saints missing a key player in their offensive lineup. During a press briefing on Thursday, Allen revealed that Hill, a tight end, is suffering from fractured ribs, which have prevented him from participating in practice. This injury was incurred during the Saints' notable victory in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. While Allen indicated that the possibility of placing Hill on injured reserve is being considered, no final decision has been made. As a result, Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo may not need to prepare a game plan to address Hill's multifaceted skill set, which includes playing as a tight end, wide receiver, running back, and even quarterback. Since 2019, Hill has held the NFL record for the most touchdowns in a single season without a turnover by a quarterback, achieving a total of seven. This season, he has accumulated 14 carries for 77 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Due to his rib injury, Hill missed the home game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3 and last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. His status for the forthcoming game at Arrowhead Stadium remains uncertain as both teams gear up for this highly anticipated event.
