A senior and team captain, King was selected as the No. 13 pick in the draft, ranking as the fourth highest attack on the list. The Baltimore native captured the attention of the lacrosse community following an impressive season in which he recorded 73 points, comprising 38 goals and 35 assists for the Crimson. Lamberti expressed high regard for King, predicting that he will be chosen by the Carolina Chaos in the second round of the forthcoming draft. "This is the offensive support the Chaos require… I consider King to be an elite prospect at X," Lamberti stated in his article on premeirlacrosseleague.com. "Standing at 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 175 pounds, this attacker possesses remarkable strength and can consistently maneuver to his dominant right hand. Additionally, with 35 assists last season, he is an excellent feeder; King's value could significantly increase with another standout season in the Ivy League." Greg Campisi, a 2024 graduate of Harvard College, was also highlighted, coming in at No. 31 in the mock draft. After concluding his career with the Crimson, Campisi transferred to Notre Dame and will compete in his final collegiate lacrosse season in 2025 with the Fighting Irish. "Campisi is quick, which is an advantageous quality for LSMs," Lamberti noted. "I am eager to observe his performance in the ACC following his transfer from Harvard, but I anticipate he will emerge as a leading LSM for the Fighting Irish."

During his three seasons with the Crimson, Campisi was a key player, contributing to the team's advancement to the NCAA Tournament in 2022 while excelling in both midfield and defensive roles. He accumulated 44 caused turnovers and 102 ground balls over 37 games at Harvard before graduating. Sam King and the rest of the Harvard men's lacrosse team are currently engaged in their offseason training, focusing on the upcoming 2025 Spring season. Further updates and information regarding the 2025 Harvard men's lacrosse schedule will be available in the coming weeks.
