The Tigers relied on roster depth, efficient scoring, and relentless defense to secure a decisive victory over the Jackson State Lady Tigers. A balanced offensive effort and strong bench production allowed the Tigers to pull away early and maintain control throughout the game. Shooting 48 percent from the field (23-of-48), the Tigers took advantage of additional possessions created by forced turnovers and offensive rebounds. They converted 67 percent of their free throws and finished the contest with 34 rebounds and 14 assists. Defensively, the Tigers disrupted Jackson State’s rhythm by forcing 23 turnovers, a key factor in the lopsided result. The starting lineup set the tempo early. Mykayla Cunningham led the group with 10 points, converting all four of her free-throw attempts while adding two steals. DeMya Porter followed with nine points on 4-of-7 shooting, providing a consistent presence in the paint. Jaylia Reed contributed six points, including two three-pointers, and grabbed three rebounds. Although D’Shantae Edwards did not score, her defensive impact was evident with three rebounds and two steals in 16 minutes of play. Zaria Hurston orchestrated the offense effectively, finishing with six points, five assists, and two rebounds while helping dictate the pace of the game. The Tigers’ bench proved to be a decisive advantage. Anaja Hall delivered an impressive performance in limited minutes, scoring eight points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting while recording five rebounds and three blocks. Demonnie Lagway added 10 points, converting five of six free throws, and Olivia Delancy chipped in eight points, highlighted by two three-point baskets. The bench consistently provided energy and momentum-shifting plays.

Jackson State struggled offensively, shooting just 25 percent from the field (16-of-64) and 17 percent from beyond the arc (3-of-18). Pierre-Noelle Tcheuhchoua paced the Lady Tigers with 10 points and eight rebounds, while Jaileyah Cotton also scored 10 points, connecting on two of four three-point attempts. However, missed free throws (8-of-18) and frequent turnovers prevented Jackson State from mounting a sustained comeback.

Ultimately, the Tigers’ depth, defensive intensity, and offensive efficiency proved overwhelming. With contributions coming from throughout the lineup, the Tigers controlled the game from start to finish, leaving Jackson State unable to overcome its shooting struggles and ball-control issues.
