No. 4 UCLA continued its strong season with an 82–75 road victory over No. 19 Ohio State on Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, extending its winning streak to six games. Lauren Betts led the Bruins with a dominant performance, recording 18 points and 16 rebounds. Kiki Rice contributed 16 points, while Angela Dugalic added 15 as UCLA improved to 12–1 overall and 2–0 in Big Ten play. The win marked UCLA’s fourth straight victory over Ohio State since December 2023. Ohio State guard Jaloni Cambridge scored a game-high 28 points, and Elsa Lemmila added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Buckeyes, who fell to 11–2 overall and 1–1 in conference play. The loss snapped Ohio State’s nine-game winning streak and came in its first Big Ten home game of the season. UCLA created separation midway through the fourth quarter by building a 16-point lead. Ohio State responded with tighter defense and timely scoring to cut the deficit to six with just over two minutes remaining, but the Bruins maintained control down the stretch.

Rebounding proved to be a key factor, as UCLA held a 47–33 advantage on the boards and collected 19 offensive rebounds. Those extra possessions resulted in a 35–10 edge in second-chance points. The Bruins also dominated in the paint, outscoring the Buckeyes 50–32. Ohio State struggled from long range early, missing its first 11 three-point attempts before finally connecting late in the second quarter. Although the Buckeyes found more success from beyond the arc in the third quarter, they finished just 7 for 30 overall.

UCLA will travel to Penn State on Wednesday, while Ohio State looks to rebound in a road matchup against Purdue.
