Simm Marten Saadi scored 21 points to lead Wyoming as the Cowboys rallied to defeat Colorado State 68-62 on Saturday in a Mountain West showdown.

Wyoming (14-9, 7-5 Mountain West) overcame early shooting struggles and a slow start to secure their fifth win in the last six games. Damarion Dennis added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Khaden Bennett contributed 11 points and three assists. The Cowboys made just 41 percent of their field-goal attempts but outworked the Rams on the boards with 27 rebounds.

Colorado State (15-8, 6-6 Mountain West) kept the game close behind Jase Butler, who scored 18 points with 11 of 12 from the free throw line. Kyle Jorgensen and Brandon Rechsteiner added 11 points each. The Rams shot 46 percent from the field, including 25 of 30 from the charity stripe, but turnovers and missed opportunities in the final minutes allowed Wyoming to pull ahead.

The Cowboys trailed 34-33 at halftime but opened the second half with a 12-5 run, highlighted by three-pointers from Dennis and Bennett. Wyoming maintained the lead for the final 15 minutes, holding Colorado State to just 18 points in the second half.

Wyoming’s balanced scoring and defensive adjustments were key, while Colorado State struggled to convert on open looks late. This win improves Wyoming’s standing in the Mountain West and positions them for a strong finish in the conference.

Up next, Wyoming hosts San Diego State on Tuesday, while Colorado State visits Boise State the same evening. Both teams look to gain momentum as the Mountain West enters its final stretch.
