Agee’s Double-Double Leads Texas A&M Past Georgia, 92-77.


ATHENS, Ga. — Rashaun Agee tallied 18 points and 15 rebounds to help Texas A&M dominate Georgia 92-77 on Saturday, maintaining their position atop the Southeastern Conference standings. The Aggies (17-4, 7-1 SEC) took control early with a 22-0 run, holding Georgia to just two points in the first five minutes. By halftime, Texas A&M led 51-41, shooting 45% from the field and making 19 of 20 free throws. Although Georgia trimmed the lead to 56-47 early in the second half, Agee hit two three-pointers—despite entering the game shooting 18.6% from long range—to rebuild the Aggies’ advantage. The Bulldogs briefly closed in at 69-66 with just over nine minutes remaining, but Texas A&M responded with consecutive three-pointers from Ali Dibba and Jacari Lane to regain control. The Aggies sealed the win from the free-throw line, extending their winning streak against Georgia to seven games. In addition to Agee’s double-double, Marcus Hill contributed 15 points, Rubén Domínguez added 13, and Dibba scored 15 off the bench. This marked Agee’s 10th double-double of the season.


For Georgia (16-6, 4-5 SEC), Jeremiah Wilkinson led the team with 17 points, five assists, and a career-high two blocks. Kanon Catchings and Blue Cain scored 14 points each, while Dylan James recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds off the bench.

Texas A&M improved to 10-0 this season when scoring at least 90 points. The Aggies will face No. 23 Alabama on Wednesday, while Georgia travels to LSU next Saturday.
