Allen’s 27 Points, 10 Rebounds Lead Cavaliers Past Wembanyama, Spurs 113-101.

San Antonio, Dec. 29, 2025 — Jarrett Allen recorded 27 points and 10 rebounds as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 113-101 on Monday night, holding off Victor Wembanyama’s strong performance. Cleveland featured balanced scoring, with seven players reaching double figures. Evan Mobley contributed 16 points, while Darius Garland added 15 points and 11 assists. For the Spurs, Wembanyama posted 26 points and 14 rebounds, marking his tenth double-double of the season. Stephon Castle scored 15 points, and De’Aaron Fox added 14 points after missing a game due to tightness in his left adductor. Both teams were coming off disappointing losses on Saturday, but the Cavaliers ended a two-game losing streak. San Antonio, meanwhile, dropped its second consecutive game following an eight-game winning streak. Cleveland trailed by eight points in the third quarter before rallying in the fourth. Jaylen Tyson’s consecutive 3-pointers gave the Cavaliers an 87-82 lead early in the final quarter, which expanded to 94-84 as the Spurs failed to mount a comeback. Cleveland had first achieved a double-digit lead at 22-12 on a four-point play by De’Andre Hunter, following a foul by Luke Kornet. Hunter finished with 11 points, and Kornet scored 10.

Allen shot 6-for-12, scoring 12 first-half points, including two unconventional behind-the-backboard shots. Wembanyama provided early excitement for the Spurs, including a two-handed dunk and a long 3-pointer that gave San Antonio a 26-25 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Cavaliers will next host the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, while the Spurs face the New York Knicks at home the same day.
