Broncos OTA Report: Bo Nix Among Seven Players Sidelined at First Week of Workouts.

The Denver Broncos opened their first round of organized team activities (OTAs) this week with several players working on the sidelines as they continue recovering from injuries or deal with undisclosed issues. Quarterback Bo Nix was present during Thursday's practice but did not participate in team drills while continuing his recovery from an ankle procedure. Head coach Sean Payton said Nix took part in pre-practice throwing sessions and remains on schedule to return for the club's mandatory minicamp later this month. Nix headlines a group of seven Broncos who were unavailable during practice. Offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo remains in rehabilitation after suffering a torn ACL during the 2025 preseason and was held out of OTA activities. The Broncos also had guard Ben Powers, offensive lineman Alex Forsyth, tight end Caleb Lohner, wide receiver Michael Woods, and cornerback Jaden Robinson sidelined with undisclosed ailments.

While OTA participation is voluntary across the league, Denver has consistently seen strong attendance under Payton's leadership. At this stage of the offseason, teams are not required to release formal injury reports, leaving the status of several players unclear.

The Broncos will continue OTA sessions June 9-11 before transitioning into mandatory minicamp from June 16-18. Following minicamp, players will break for the summer ahead of training camp, which is expected to begin in late July. The organization is anticipated to release its official 2026 training camp schedule later this month.
