The Phoenix Suns continued their strong stretch of play with a 115–101 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night in the nation’s capital. Dillon Brooks led all scorers with 26 points, while Collin Gillespie contributed 25 to help Phoenix secure its fourth consecutive win. Devin Booker added 22 points as the Suns improved to 19–13 on the season, marking the first time they have reached six games over .500. Phoenix has now won five of its last six contests and the first three games of a four-game road trip. The Suns were efficient from long range, converting 17 of 40 shots from beyond the arc, and dominated the offensive glass with a 20–9 advantage in second-chance opportunities. Phoenix earned the win despite missing center Mark Williams, who sat out due to a one-game suspension following an altercation in the team’s previous game against New Orleans. Washington rookie Tre Johnson delivered a standout performance, scoring a career-high 24 points to lead the Wizards. CJ McCollum added 17 points for Washington, which entered the matchup with one of the league’s weakest records but has shown improvement by splitting its last eight games.

After trailing by seven at halftime, the Wizards briefly closed the gap early in the third quarter behind baskets from Johnson and Alex Sarr. However, Phoenix quickly responded with a decisive 16–3 run, highlighted by back-to-back three-pointers from Royce O’Neale and Gillespie, to regain full control of the game.

The Suns will conclude their road trip Wednesday in Cleveland, while the Wizards travel to Milwaukee for their next matchup.
