ATLANTA — Caleb Williams made a strong return to the Chicago Bears' lineup Sunday, leading his team to a 31-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons after missing three games with a hamstring injury. Williams completed his first 12 passes and finished 30 of 36 for 305 yards and one touchdown. His performance helped Chicago improve to 4-2, while Atlanta dropped to 2-4. The Bears controlled much of the game, building a commanding 31-7 lead behind Williams' efficient passing and two rushing touchdowns from D'Andre Swift. Williams connected with tight end Colston Loveland for a 14-yard touchdown on Chicago's opening possession. Atlanta refused to go away, mounting a fourth-quarter comeback behind quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who finished with 225 passing yards and three touchdowns. Two late touchdown passes to Kyle Pitts helped the Falcons cut the deficit to 31-23.

However, Chicago's defense delivered a crucial stop when cornerback Kyler Gordon sacked Penix and forced a fumble with 2:54 remaining. Devin Bush recovered the football, allowing the Bears to run out the clock. Gordon finished with three sacks and two forced fumbles in an impressive return from injury. Despite committing 12 penalties for 133 yards, Chicago secured its fourth victory of the season and welcomed back its starting quarterback with an important road win.

The Bears will host the New England Patriots on Thursday night, while the Falcons will look to bounce back against the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.
