As of April 12, 2025, the Boston Celtics have firmly established themselves as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, boasting a record of 60 wins and 21 losses. In their latest match on April 11, they secured a commanding 130-94 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Payton Pritchard was the standout performer, scoring 22 points off the bench, while Derrick White contributed significantly with 19 points, seven assists, and four blocks. Jayson Tatum added 16 points, along with eight rebounds and eight assists, and Sam Hauser made a notable impact with 20 points, including six three-pointers. Al Horford achieved a double-double, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds. However, Jaylen Brown is currently sidelined due to a knee injury and is anticipated to miss the season finale against the Hornets on April 13. His knee issue, diagnosed as a bone bruise, has necessitated pain management injections. Brown has been absent for seven of the last 15 games and has had restricted playing time in recent outings.

This injury raises concerns regarding his readiness and effectiveness in the forthcoming playoffs. Looking forward, the Celtics are considered strong contenders for the NBA championship, with betting odds set at +215. The team is preparing for the playoffs, with the goal of defending their title and potentially facing off against teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks.
