Cotie McMahon scored a game-high 20 points to lead No. 13 Mississippi to a commanding 71–45 win over Auburn on Monday night at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. McMahon finished 7-of-13 from the field, made six of eight free throws, and pulled down seven rebounds for the Rebels (19–4, 6–2 SEC), who extended their winning streak to three games and have now won five of their last six contests. Sira Thienou contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, while Christeen Iwuala recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ole Miss forward Latasha Lattimore added six points before exiting in the fourth quarter with an apparent ankle injury. Her performance left her just one point shy of reaching 1,000 career points. Auburn (13–10) was led by Harissoum Coulibaly, who scored 11 points as the Tigers dropped their fourth straight game, all against ranked opponents. Mya Petticord scored twice early to help Auburn jump out to a 10–4 lead, but Mississippi quickly responded with an 18–0 run fueled by McMahon’s scoring to take control of the game. The Tigers endured a prolonged scoring drought late in the first quarter, missing their final 10 shots and both free-throw attempts, allowing the Rebels to build a 12-point advantage after one period. Auburn did not score again until Khady Leye’s layup early in the second quarter, but Ole Miss continued to dominate and carried a 35–19 lead into halftime.

Mississippi maintained its momentum in the second half, with McMahon reaching 20 points for the third consecutive game. Auburn struggled offensively throughout, finishing the night shooting below 30 percent and not making a three-pointer until midway through the fourth quarter. Auburn will travel to Florida on Thursday, while Mississippi faces a ranked matchup on the road against No. 21 Alabama.
