Stephen Curry continues to be one of the NBA’s most popular stars, as the Golden State Warriors guard ranked third in the Western Conference in the first round of 2026 NBA All-Star fan voting. Curry received 1,031,455 votes, trailing only Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers and Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets. At 37 years old, Curry is aiming for his 12th All-Star appearance. Through 24 games this season, he is averaging 28.8 points per contest and recently scored 27 points in Golden State’s 120–107 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center. Jimmy Butler also appeared in the initial fan voting results, placing 17th in the Western Conference with 111,411 votes. Butler, 36, has been selected to six All-Star teams during his career but has not earned a spot since the 2021–22 season with the Miami Heat. Now in his first season with Golden State, Butler ranks as the Warriors’ second-leading scorer, averaging 19.7 points over 29 games. Despite the team’s promotional efforts on social media, Butler humorously downplayed his candidacy by encouraging fans to focus their votes elsewhere.

Fan voting for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game opened on Dec. 17 and will run through Jan. 14. Fan ballots will determine 50 percent of the final selections, while current players and a media panel will each contribute 25 percent. This year’s All-Star Game will feature a new United States vs. World format, with 24 total players divided into three teams. Five starters will be selected from each conference, with no positional requirements.
