The Charlotte Hornets delivered a dominant performance on March 24, 2026, defeating the Sacramento Kings 134–90 while matching a franchise record with 26 three-pointers. The victory marked Charlotte’s fourth consecutive win and strengthened its position in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Coby White led the Hornets with 27 points, connecting on six shots from beyond the arc. LaMelo Ball contributed 20 points, also hitting six three-pointers, while Moussa Diabate recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Charlotte improved to 38–34 on the season, moving within two games of the Atlanta Hawks for sixth place in the conference standings. The Hornets established control early, building a 72–47 lead by halftime. Both White and Ball set the tone, each making four three-pointers in the first half. Charlotte continued to extend its advantage, pushing the lead to as many as 46 points in the fourth quarter. The team shot 51% from the field and dominated the boards with a 57–35 rebounding advantage.

Rookie Kon Knueppel added four three-pointers and continues to climb the franchise’s single-season record list, now ranking second with 247 made threes. He is closing in on the record currently held by Kemba Walker. Sacramento struggled throughout the game, offering minimal defensive resistance. Daeqwon Plowden led the Kings with 22 points, while Malik Monk recorded a career-high 14 assists. The Kings fell to 19–54 with the loss.

Charlotte had an opportunity to break its franchise record for three-pointers late in the game, but a missed attempt in the final minutes kept the total at 26, tying the mark set in March 2025. Looking ahead, the Hornets will host the New York Knicks, while the Kings travel to face the Orlando Magic in their next matchup.
