Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — Immanuel Quickley delivered a career defining performance with 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Toronto Raptors edged the NBA leading Oklahoma City Thunder 103–101 on Sunday night, extending their winning streak to four games and handing the Thunder one of their rare home losses this season.
Quickley controlled the tempo throughout and sealed the outcome late at the free throw line, giving Toronto a statement win against one of the league’s most consistent teams. R.J. Barrett added 14 points, while Scottie Barnes posted a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, continuing his all around impact on both ends of the floor.
Shai Gilgeous Alexander led Oklahoma City with 24 points on 8 of 11 shooting and extended his streak of 20 point games to 117, the second longest in NBA history. Despite his efficiency, the Thunder star was limited to just one shot attempt in the fourth quarter and scored only three points in the final period as Toronto tightened defensively.
Lu Dort scored a season high 19 points for Oklahoma City, Kenrich Williams finished with 15, and Chet Holmgren recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Thunder entered the night short handed, playing without starters Jalen Williams and Isaiah Hartenstein, along with key reserve Ajay Mitchell. Guard Cason Wallace exited during the game due to left groin soreness, further thinning the rotation.
Toronto led 64–60 at halftime after holding Gilgeous Alexander to nine points before the break. Oklahoma City responded in the third quarter behind a more aggressive attack from its lead guard, briefly taking control with an 81–79 advantage entering the fourth.
The closing minutes featured multiple momentum swings. Toronto regained the lead late, and with the score 101–99, Barnes blocked a short jumper by Holmgren to preserve the advantage. Jamal Shead missed two free throws with 13 seconds remaining, but the Raptors secured the rebound, and Quickley calmly converted two free throws with 8.2 seconds left to create separation.
The loss marked just Oklahoma City’s fourth defeat at home this season and its third instance of consecutive losses, coming two days after a surprise setback against Indiana. For Toronto, the win represents a significant confidence boost as the team continues to define its identity around Quickley and Barnes in high leverage situations.
The Raptors will return home to host the New York Knicks on Wednesday, while the Thunder look to regroup Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans as they manage injuries and reset their late game execution.
